While most taxes are included in your airline ticket, the state of Quintana Roo, where Cancun is located, recently added Visitax which must be paid by each visitor. Visitax is typically paid online before your arrival. Click here to register and make payment.

The airline baggage fee for checked luggage varies by carrier, and any fees are the responsibility of each traveler. Sunfest does not cover the cost of checked baggage as it must be paid at time of check-in directly to the airline. Most airlines will only accept credit cards for baggage fees and in-flight purchases.

Yes, you can extend your stay by requestion additional nights before or after the program. You can express interest in extending your trip during registration. Please note that availability is currently better prior to the event. We will review your request, contact the resort, and advise if your desired extension is available after group registration is completed.

Reservations are required at all restaurants at the Maya Riviera for dinner. You can make dinner reservations at check in.  You will receive priority reservations at à la carte restaurants with the premium level services. Sunfest 2025 Dine Arounds are pre-reserved and you will not need to make a dinner reservation to participate.

March is generally a pleasant time to visit the Riviera Maya with warm temperatures and sunny skies. Expect average temperatures in the mid-80s Fahrenheit (low 30s Celsius).

• Smart/Beach Casual Elegant: Lightweight, collared shirts, shorts or pants; long shorts/capris, casual skirt or dresses. NOTE:  Men may not wear shorts, sandals, or sleeveless shirts at most dining outlets for dinner. Limit swimwear to the pool area.
• Farewell Dinner Attire: Festive, tropical flair (collar shirts and pants for men)

While rain is possible, it’s generally brief and doesn’t significantly impact your trip. Packing a lightweight raincoat or umbrella is a good precaution.
